Please take a moment to read the following policies regarding study in the Academy-2U. These policies exist to create a user-friendly and misunderstanding-free environment for students, parents, and teachers.

Lessons take place in the convenience of your home.

Student Practice Guidelines

All students are required to provide their own instruments for study.
At each lesson, students will receive a lesson assignment detailing what is to be practiced during the coming week.
Students are encouraged to practice for shorter periods each day rather than one longer session the day before the lesson.

Choosing the Right Teacher

We will do our best to provide the right teacher for you consider the information about our future student – including age, goals, and experience.
If you are not satisfied with your teacher, we will do our best to coordinate lessons with another teacher from our staff. We want to ensure your satisfaction with the lessons we provide, and we understand that the connection between a student and their teacher is a very important aspect to having enjoyable, engaging music lessons.

Music Lessons Fee

30 minutes lesson	$260 per month
45 minutes lesson	$340 per month
60 minutes lesson	$420 per month

Tutoring Lessons Fee

60 minutes lesson

$450 per month

This monthly fee covers 4 lessons each month.

Summer lessons are pro-rated to the number of lessons you are available for!

Tuition Policy

Student/Parent will receive the monthly email from the Academy-2U which will notify you of your tuition due for the following month, the acceptable payment options, and other important details.
Tuition for the next month is due by the end of the current month. After the 1st of the new month, there is a $20 late fee.
Multi-Enrollment Discount: A discount of 10% off for each additional class tuition is available for families enrolled in 2 or more classes.
Sibling Discount: A discount of 10% off for each additional child tuition is available for families who have enrolled 2 or more students.
Nonrefundable registration fee of $50 plus the first month tuition fee will be charged when you sign up with the Academy-2U.

Make-Up Policies

1. Any lesson missed by the teacher will be made up. If the teacher must reschedule a lesson, the student should be notified ASAP. The missed lesson may be made up in several ways:

Rescheduling the lesson for another day and time
Adding additional time to future lessons (i.e. adding 15 min. to the next lessons)
Scheduling a long lesson on a future date

2. If the student must miss a lesson, the teacher should be contacted at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. With 24 hours advance notice given, the teacher can reschedule 2 lessons for an excused absence by the student per semester. Additional missed lessons are not made up and there are no refunds are given.

Only illness or family emergencies will be considered excused absences. Messages for teachers must be left directly with your teacher’s voicemail.

3. You may stop lessons at the end of any calendar month by providing 30 days advance written notice to Academy-2U by email: contact@academy-2u.com in addition to speaking to your personal instructor.
